Job description

Required Qualifications

We are seeking a candidate with one or more of the following Areas of Specialization (AOS):

·                     Philosophy of Law with the ability to mentor pre-Law students.

·                     Philosophy of Technology with the ability to speak to issues such as AI Ethics.

·                     Philosophy of Film

·                     Philosophy and Literature

·                     Abrahamic Traditions with the ability to incorporate feminist and queer perspectives

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

·        Demonstrated ability to teach discussion intensive classes

·        Demonstrated ability to teach writing intensive classes

·        Demonstrated ability to teach courses that include diverse perspectives, related to the US and globally

We are seeking a candidate who will be successful in recruiting Philosophy and Interdisciplinary Studies majors and promoting student success.

 Educational Requirements

A Ph.D. (terminal degree) in the discipline taught at the time of the appointment is expected.
Must meet SACSCOC accreditation requirements stated in C.S. 3.7.1 (www.sacscoc.org (faculty credentials))
