Rhode Island College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Philosophy. This academic-year position begins in Fall 2026. The Department of Philosophy seeks candidates with strengths in Ethics and Social/Political Philosophy. The successful candidate will teach a range of undergraduate courses, contribute to both the major and the general education curriculum, advise students, maintain an active research agenda, and participate in departmental and college service. About Rhode Island College: RIC is a regional comprehensive public institution enrolling approximately 6,600 students across five schools: the Faculty of Arts and Sciences; the Feinstein School of Education and Human Development; the School of Business; the School of Nursing; and the School of Social Work. Required Qualifications: · Ph.D. in Philosophy; ABD may be considered. · Teaching experience at the college level.
