Job description

Rhode Island College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Philosophy. This academic-year position begins in Fall 2026.

The Department of Philosophy seeks candidates with strengths in Ethics and Social/Political Philosophy. The successful candidate will teach a range of undergraduate courses, contribute to both the major and the general education curriculum, advise students, maintain an active research agenda, and participate in departmental and college service.

Required Qualifications:

· Ph.D. in Philosophy; ABD may be considered.

· Teaching experience at the college level.
