Limited-Term Instructor of Philosophy

The University of West Georgia Philosophy Program (https://www.westga.edu/philosophy/) is a strong team-oriented program and we value inclusiveness. The position has a 5/4 teaching load on a semester calendar, with minimal service and research expectations. Teaching is primarily in our general education curriculum, especially Introduction to Philosophy, Critical Thinking, and Introduction to Ethics, with Introduction to World Religions as a possibility; the Limited-Term Instructor may be asked to teach upper-level courses, e.g., Professional Ethics and Technology and Human Values, as needed. The position may be renewable annually based on satisfactory performance evaluations and availability of funding.

Required Education: 

Ph.D. at time of appointment.

Required Experience: 

Area of specialization and area of competence open. Teaching competence in Professional Ethics and/or Technology and Human Values and/or Introduction to World Religions preferred.
