The Department of Philosophy at Florida State University (FSU) invites applications for a position as a Dean’s Postdoctoral Scholar. This is a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure-track position with an anticipated start date in August 2026. Initial appointment is for 12 months, with the possibility of renewal (for up to 3 years total in the position). Salary competitive. The teaching load is four courses per year (Fall and Spring semesters). Area of Specialization: Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Cognitive Science, or Epistemology The successful applicant should be willing and able to teach either or both of Introduction to Philosophy and a lower-level applied ethics course. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Ph.D. (or highest degree appropriate) in Philosophy (or a closely related field) from an accredited institution, with demonstrated ability to teach and participate in our strong philosophy undergraduate, M.A., and Ph.D. programs.
