Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow

The Fordham University Philosophy Department seeks to hire three Postdoctoral Teaching Fellows for the 2026-27 academic year at the Rose Hill (Bronx) or Lincoln Center (Manhattan) campus. Ph.D. required. Area of Specialization: Open.   

The position is full-time, includes benefits, and offers a salary of $50,243. Candidates must have received their degree by August 15 of the appointment year and must have been awarded their degree no more than 3 years prior. For full consideration, the deadline for the receipt of all materials is May 1, 2026.  

3/3 course load, focusing on instruction in the core curriculum (Human Nature and Philosophical Ethics). 

A one-year initial appointment with the possibility of second and third year renewal (for a maximum of three-year appointment). An evaluation, including teaching observation, will take place annually as part of the reappointment process.
