The Institute of Philosophy at the University of Hamburg is advertising a research assistant position (Wissenschaflticher Mitarbeiter) in the history of philosophy (TV-L E13, full-time, 5 teaching hours per week). The position is for a fixed term of three years and is due to start on 1 October. The position may be extended for a further three years. The application materials can be sent in either German or English. We are a medium-sized but very vibrant and international Institute of Philosophy. Our faculty have all been academically trained in the analytic tradition and predominantly publish in English. We have very committed students, many of whom we involve early on as tutors in teaching, and who often remain in touch with the department beyond their studies.
