GRINNELL COLLEGE. The Department of Classics and the Department of Philosophy invite applications for a joint tenure-track appointment in ancient Greek and Roman philosophy beginning Fall 2027. Assistant Professor (Ph.D.) preferred; Instructor (ABD) or Associate Professor possible. Candidates should be able to teach courses at various levels of Greek and Latin and of Greek and Roman philosophy in translation, as well as other courses in English in their areas of expertise in Classics and in Philosophy that contribute to the two departments’ curricula and to the liberal-arts mission of the college. Grinnell College is a highly selective undergraduate liberal arts college with a strong tradition of social responsibility.
