Assistant Professor of Philosophy

The NC State Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies welcomes applications for an appointment as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Philosophy with expertise in logic. Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. in Philosophy by May 2027. The responsibilities of the appointee will include teaching courses on logic up to and including the advanced level and contributing to the department’s teaching needs in other areas of philosophy. In addition to having a demonstrated ability to teach advanced logic, the ideal candidate will also have a record of philosophical research interests that extend beyond logic proper. The teaching load is two courses per semester. Other responsibilities include research and service.
