Assistant Professor of Philosophy

Kenyon College seeks to fill a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level in the Department of Philosophy beginning July 2027. The position calls for an AOS in Ethical Theory, and AOC’s that complement the current department - possibly including the areas of non-western philosophy, aesthetics, philosophy of language, and/or the philosophy of law. The successful candidate will teach a broad array of courses, ranging from 100-level introductory courses to a senior level Ethics Seminar. Applicants must possess a completed Ph.D. in philosophy prior to the start date. Successful candidates will be excellent teachers who maintain a strong research program.
