Successful candidate will be expected to teach general education courses, lower division undergraduate courses required by the major including a course introducing students to methods and themes in comparative philosophy, and some upper division courses as needed by the program. Area of expertise within the history of philosophy broadly construed complementing existing faculty. Ideally, the successful candidate will be able to teach non-western. This is a nine-month, non tenure track position. In addition to teaching duties, lecturers are expected to perform some professional service for the department, college and university.
