PhD Positions: Perception and Action (EXPIRED)

Applications are invited for three fully and (for US and UK standards) very generously paid PhD studentships in philosophy at the University of Antwerp. The PhD student will be part of Bence Nanay’s project ‘Between Perception and Action’ (funded by a FWO and a BOF UA grant) and will be supervised by Professor Nanay. This is a project in analytic, empirically informed philosophy of mind and the postdoctoral fellow would be working within this subfield of philosophy. The PhD in Belgium normally takes four years and PhD students are public employees with very generous benefits. Antwerp is commutable from a number of European cities, including Paris, London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Cologne. All research and communication is conducted in English.   Candidates must have an MA degree in philosophy (when they start their PhD). Some background in psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience or primatology is a significant plus.
