Lecturer of Philosophy The College of Humanities and Fine Arts at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for a Lectureship in Philosophy. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, non-tenure eligible teaching position responsible for 10 courses per year, with eligibility for promotion to senior lecturer after six years. The department seeks a gifted teacher who can teach Introduction to Philosophy, Introduction to Ethics, Introduction to Logic, and Critical Thinking. Additional experience in teaching Business Ethics is desirable. AOS: open. AOC: Ethics, logic, critical thinking. Ph.D. in philosophy by time of appointment and prior teaching experience at the university level is required. The successful candidate will complement the scholarly expertise of current faculty members. Coastal Carolina University is a public comprehensive liberal arts institution located just nine miles from the Atlantic coast resort of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the baccalaureate and selective master’s degrees of national and/or regional significance in the arts and sciences, business, humanities, education, and health and human services, a specialist degree in educational leadership, and a Ph.D. degree in Marine Science.
