Assistant Professor of Philosophy (EXPIRED)

The Humanities Division at Graceland University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in philosophy beginning August 2017.  Candidates must have demonstrated experience in teaching ethics courses.  Ability to teach non-Western or global philosophies, feminist philosophy, and/or critical race theory a plus.  Ph.D. required by August 2017. 

The 4/4 teaching load consists primarily of applied ethics coursework.  Demonstrated teaching excellence and a commitment to undergraduate teaching and service is required.  Qualified applicants should submit a letter of application, c.v., evidence of teaching effectiveness, and three letters of recommendation (at least one must address the candidate’s teaching) to Dr. Brian White, Dean, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, at [email protected].  Review of materials begins January 15th and continues until the position is filled.  Initial interviews will be conducted by phone or Skype.
