50th Anniversary Research Lectureships (EXPIRED)

In less than 50 years, the University of York has become one of the leading universities in the UK, with an excellent reputation for teaching and research. Virtually all of our research is internationally recognised and we earned over £50 million of research income last year.

Following the success of our recent 50th Anniversary Chair and Reader appointments, the University intends to create up to twenty new Anniversary Research Lectureships. These posts are aimed at providing outstanding post-doctoral researchers with an opportunity for an extended period of research and a permanent career path. Anniversary Research Lecturers will spend a three year period establishing a strong personal research profile, followed by a transfer to an established academic post, comprising teaching and research.

Applicants who wish to be considered for positions in our three independent Research Centres (The Institute for Effective Education, The Centre for Health Economics and The Centre for Reviews and Dissemination) must make a joint application with a teaching Department (i.e. those listed above).
