Assistant Professor (EXPIRED)

The Department of Philosophy and Religion at James Madison University invites applications for a one year, full-time leave replacement position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 2012. AOS: Feminism or History of Philosophy (any period before the 20th century). AOC: open. Teaching experience required; Ph.D. required by time of appointment. Position contingent upon funding. The successful candidate will teach Introduction to Philosophy, Critical Thinking, or Ethical Reasoning in the university's general education program and offer an upper-level course in his/her area of specialty. A typical course load for a semester involves teaching 100 students, split into either two or three courses, depending upon class size.
