Job description

The Department of Philosophy in the College of Arts and Sciences at Seattle University invites applications for non- tenure-track full-time Instructor positions starting fall 2017.

 The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the general history of philosophy, teaching experience, some familiarity with the Catholic intellectual tradition, and the ability to engage with colleagues representing diverse philosophical traditions. The area of specialization is open. We have strong curricular needs for someone who can teach Healthcare Ethics.

 The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of courses in our Core curriculum, including the two required philosophy core courses (Philosophy of the Human Person and Ethics), and will provide service to the department/school/university.

 Requirement:  Ph.D. in Philosophy. Advanced ABD considered.
