Job description |
One entry level Assistant Professor (tenure track) position beginning August 15, 2018. AOS: Africana Philosophy; AOC, Open. Drawing on diverse traditions, the Philosophy Department aims to integrate the study of perennial philosophical questions with contemporary approaches and problems. Promise of high quality undergraduate and graduate teaching, research and publication; service to the department and the university. Initial teaching load of 2/2 for first three years; then reviewed primarily according to research productivity. Normal annual teaching load is five courses. Teaching load includes University common core, lower and upper division electives, and graduate courses as well as active participation in B.A. M.A. and Ph.D. programs. Ability to contribute to interdisciplinary teaching and/or research in emerging University programmatic interests in Race and Ethnic Studies will be an asset. |
