| Job description |
As an Assistant Professor of Philosophy/Religion, you will teach at the undergraduate level; be involved in course and/or curriculum development; research/scholarship; participate on College and University committees and/or initiatives. Earned Ph.D. in Philosophy, Religious Studies, or related field from an accredited institution. ABD will be considered if degree is conferred by August 7, 2018. If successful candidate is ABD, appointment will be made at a Lecturer level on a fixed contract. Experience teaching World Religions/ Comparative Religion, Philosophy of Religion, and courses in Philosophy that complement the existing strengths of the FGCU Philosophy Program (esp. social-political philosophy, phenomenology, hermeneutics, and the history of philosophy). |
