Lecturer in Philosophy (Grade A) (EXPIRED)

We seek to appoint a philosopher with outstanding teaching and research potential. The successful candidate will be able to teach at least one of Ancient Philosophy, Ethics, Feminist Philosophy, Political Philosophy.


You will be able to offer supervision up to doctoral level in your area of specialization, and will also be able to contribute teaching to undergraduate and masters level courses.


It is expected that you have a PhD in a relevant subject area or be very close to completion. It is essential that you have a proven track record in research, and experience of teaching to first- degree level. Effective communication skills are essential, as are willingness and competence when it comes to carrying out administrative jobs required for the efficient running of the department.

Salary: £33,966 rising to £38,884 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.


This job is full-time, and for one year.
