| Job description |
Special Instructor (initial three-year appointment, eligible for job security after a second reappointment) to begin Fall 2018. AOS: Logic. AOC: some of the following areas: inductive logic, decision theory, informal logic, cognitive science, philosophy of mind, history of logic, or philosophy of logic. Teaching load is 6 courses/year. Ph.D. in philosophy required by the time of appointment. Candidates must demonstrate experience with, or a commitment to, diversity and inclusion. Oakland University is a nationally recognized doctoral research institution located on 1,443 acres of scenic land in the cities of Rochester Hills and Auburn Hills in Oakland County, Michigan. The University has 132 bachelor’s degree programs and 138 graduate degree and certificate programs. Academics include programs in the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Business Administration, School of Education and Human Services, School of Engineering and Computer Science, School of Health Sciences, School of Medicine and School of Nursing. |
