Job description

The philosophy department at Colgate University invites applications for a tenure stream position in philosophy at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning fall semester 2018.  AOS: Open.  AOC: any area in the history of philosophy with the exceptions of ancient philosophy and Kant and nineteenth-century philosophy.  Completion of Ph.D. is expected prior to or shortly after the date of hire.  The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active research program.  He or she will also be expected to participate in all-university programs, including the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum.

Review of applications will begin on November 26th and continue until the position is filled.  Short-listed candidates will be invited for Skype interviews in mid to late December; shortly after those, three candidates will be invited for on-campus interviews to take place in late January.
