Postdoctoral Fellowship in Philosophy (AOS Open)
The Philosophy Department at Purdue University, West Lafayette campus, invites applications for a three-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Philosophy (August 1, 2018 -- July 31, 2021). We seek a philosopher of exceptional promise who will contribute to the excellence of our department. Candidates working in any area of philosophy are encouraged to apply.
The position will have a salary of $47,500 and provide an annual research allowance of $1,200. The successful applicant will be expected to teach 2 courses per year (1-1 load) and will be given the opportunity (and funding) to organize a conference in the second or third year of their fellowship. The postdoctoral fellow will work closely with a faculty mentor on an appropriate plan of research and professional development within the three-year time period of the fellowship.
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must have received their Ph.D. between September 1, 2013 and June 30, 2018.
