Postdoctoral Fellowship in Medieval Philosophy The Philosophy Department at Purdue University, West Lafayette campus, invites applications for a three-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Medieval Philosophy (August 1, 2018 -- July 31, 2021). The Department of Philosophy at Purdue has particular strengths in the history of ancient and medieval philosophy, and we seek a philosopher of exceptional promise who will contribute to the excellence of our department. Candidates working in any area of medieval philosophy are encouraged to apply. The position will have a salary of $47,500 and provide an annual research allowance of $1,200. The successful applicant will be expected to teach 2 courses per year (1-1 load) and will be given the opportunity (and funding) to organize a conference in the second or third year of their fellowship. The postdoctoral fellow will work closely with a faculty mentor on an appropriate plan of research and professional development within the three-year time period of the fellowship. To be eligible for consideration, applicants must have received their Ph.D. between September 1, 2013 and June 30, 2018. Deadline for applications is December 30, 2017.
