Job assignments

The primary responsibility of doctoral students is to complete their PhD-thesis during their employment at LGRP under supervision by senior LGRP faculty or, when appropriate, by external thesis advisors. Arrangements for doctoral supervision will be made by LGRP. Our PhD students will receive salaries commensurate with doctoral positions in Sweden. They will be fully employed by the University of Lund for four years.

Doctoral students are also expected to contribute to LGRP’s research environment, especially with respect to foundational and analytic issues concerning moral responsibility and free will (broadly conceived). They will actively participate in LGRP’s research seminars and relevant research activities at the Philosophy Department. Additional duties may include teaching, course design, and other teaching-related activities. Such tasks will not exceed 20% of the position’s responsibilities. The holder of the position is expected to be based in Lund and to regularly and be regularly present at the research group’s various activities and programs (workshops, seminars, conferences, etc.).
