Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow (EXPIRED)

The Department of Languages, Philosophy & Communication Studies invites applications for a one-year postdoctoral teaching fellow in Philosophy. Fellows will be responsible for teaching a three/three course load for the academic year, which will include both lower and upper-division courses. Course assignments may include Introduction to Philosophy, Ethics, Environmental Ethics, and other courses that complement the needs of the Philosophy program and fit within the candidate's AOS and AOC. To be eligible, candidates must have completed a doctoral degree in Philosophy or related field between May 2015 and August 2018 or be ABD by August 2018. The successful fellow may expect an annual salary of $40,000 dollars plus benefits, office space, computer, up to $2,000 in moving expenses, and library privileges. In addition, fellows may apply for departmental travel funds for presentations during the 2018-19 academic year. Review of applicants begins April 5, 2018, and continues until the position is filled.
